So in Angel series 1 (The Prodical, ep 15) we discovered that Angel had a little sister called Kathy, back in the 'powdered-wig days' when he was called Liam and living in Galway. As Liam, he clearly had a close relationship with her, and she loved him dearly. As a newly sired vampire, he killed her and the rest of their family. And it was she who perhaps gave him the name "Angel" - as Angelus, he comments that she invited him into the house thinking him to be an angel.

All this got me to thinking - what if, somehow, she came back into his life?
